Our logo is one of the most important drawings we are proud to have. Made by Karin, a six-year-old sweet, energetic and very compassionate young girl. “I love Mother Earth, I respect Mother Earth and I take care of Mother Earth for my family and friends,” she writes for Wagner Montessori School. Her passion for the Earth is contagious. Other children look after her in her initiative to keep her school playground and garden free from trash. This remarkable drawing is part of a collection of children’s artwork to create a paper quilt for Mother Earth. In the original drawing, Karin writes “I am thankful for the plants, I’m thankful for Mother Earth, I’m thankful for my family.” |

My name is Sarah Vazquez and I am a children’s illustrator. My contribution to KLME is illustrating for the organization to teach children and their families how to take care of our planet. I do believe strongly in KLME and their mission. We can make BIG changes to help our planet by simply making SMALL changes in our every day life. Caring about the planet is what we're all about. Preserving it is what we all can do together!
